OK - now we're in the depths of translation. I'm not a native speaker but I've got a keen interest of naval military history and I've got some minor problems with the word "tender". For me it carries the wrong image. A Dino is a tender, a mobile depot that is able to tend the logistical needs of it's units. But not a warship able to reinforce the screen it's basic unit. Cutter or long boat don't fit either. I wonder how in the American Edition the warning "Es it kein Kreuzer, sondern nur ein Beibot aus der Raumschlacht im Wegasektor " was translated. --Thinman (Diskussion) 20:32, 16. Sep. 2017 (CEST)
- I'm not a native speaker either, and I also don't have a large knowledge of naval history to draw from. This term was actually taken from the Dutch editions, where tender is used extensively. Sentences like 'The CREST III carried 40 Korvetten as tenders' would use the word tender there. As Dutch steals a lot of words from English, I assumed without checking this was one of them. Is there a all-round term for 'craft carried inside a larger craft' in English?

- Maybe we can find a linguistic subreddit or something to help us out, but until then I propose we keep using tender. By using the same consistently we can also change it out quickly with a search-replace function when we do get a better word.
- I agree with the second part of the suggestion But Tender brings us in conflict with Flottentender which are translated as tender.
